Elder Mason, Elder Downing, and the Schopp family:
Daniel, Evelyn, Grace, & Mila. They are also expecting their 3rd child (a boy), in March.
Daniel is being baptized, and Evelyn has opted to wait until after the baby is born. She was very supportive of Daniel being baptized, and then in March he will be able to baptize her. He received the Gift of the Holy Ghost on Sunday, and next Sunday he will be ordained a Priest.
This family has been a heartfelt work for the missionaries, and now the wonderful joy of seeing them "Come Unto Christ" through the baptismal covenant.

  1. Thanks for your email alerting me to your blog -- somehow I had misplaced your blog address, so haven't kept on on everything. As you know we are home (since just before Thanksgiving) and are slowly getting back into the swing of worldly thing, I guess. Busy family times, getting settled, traveling and etc. We love being home, but miss the mission and dear friends there.
We are so happy you finally got off on your mission -- isn't it wonderful??? Sounds like you're doing great things and helping the Church to grow and bringing wonderful people unto Christ. HAPPY DAYS!!!

  2. There is nothing like a baptism to bring the joy of the Gospel into full bloom and how special for Daniel to be able to baptize his wife. Of all of the experiences on our mission the most precious was to witness the fruits of labor in one coming into the true Church of Christ through baptism by one holding the Priesthood authority.

  3. What a blessing for all of you, so many prayers answered and wonderful people coming into the true church of Christ.
We don't see the people we help receive clean water come unto Christ.Of course they are interested in the gospel because of the clean water members of the Church provide through their donations to the Humanitarian fund.
May the Lord continue to bless you in your efforts to share your testimony with the people of Germany and make a difference on your mission.
